The Basics of Ambient Occlusion
In this short course, I will teach you the basics of ambient occlusion, which is a tactic digital artists use when it comes to digital painting. This technique turns a black and white drawing into a colored one, all with the help of multiply layers.
In this course, I will teach you how multiply layers and clipping masks work, how to go about working with ambient occlusion, simple coloring, shading and lighting techniques as well as simple rendering techniques. We will be using an image as an example, as well as a sketch that I made, which is available to you to practice along with me step-by-step if you wish.
